Mutual funds and SIPs

Mutual funds, chosen around your goals

A mutual fund pools money from many investors and is managed by a professional fund manager. Funds in India are regulated by SEBI. With a SIP (systematic investment plan), you invest a fixed amount every month, which builds the habit and spreads your buying across good and bad markets.

Questions

Common questions

Something else on your mind? Ask us on WhatsApp.

What is the difference between a SIP and a lump sum?

A SIP invests a fixed amount every month. A lump sum invests a larger amount once. SIPs suit regular income; lump sums suit money you already have, such as a bonus.

Can I stop or change my SIP?

Yes. You can pause, change or stop a SIP. Some funds charge an exit load if you withdraw units within a set period, so check before redeeming.

How long should I stay invested in equity funds?

Equity funds go up and down in the short term. They are generally best for goals that are at least five years away.

Are mutual funds safe?

They are regulated and professionally managed, but their value moves with the market. That is why the right fund depends on your goal and timeline.

Other services
